ALOR GAJAH
The Alor Gajah district is located in the north of Melaka and borders Negeri Sembilan. The name describes the Alor Gajah area as being related to the path of wild elephants at one point in the past. The name Alor Gajah originates from the habit of a group of wild elephants which is said to be led by a white elephant. The elephants were seen to be very fond of walking in groups along the course of a river in this city. Hence the name Alor Gajah which means "Elephant Trail". Alor Gajah district has three main cities and 16 small towns. The three main cities are the city of Alor Gajah, the city of Masjid Tanah and the city of Pulau Sebang. The area of ​​Alor Gajah district is estimated to be around 66,302 hectares (660 square kilometers) which includes 31 sub-districts.
