Kampung Ayer Limau was founded in 1820. It was named after the "Lime Trees" that can be found everywhere and also at every house in the village.

Homestay Kampung Ayer Limau was registered with The Ministry of Tourism on January 09, 2009.

There are few activites which you can experienced such as 'Culture & Heritage', ‘Gastronomy Tourism’, ‘Games & Traditional Sports’ and ‘Agro Tourism’.

Accommodation in Rimba Alor consists of two traditional style wooden Malacca ‘kampung ‘(village) houses. (“Villa Rimba” and “Villa Alor”) Each villa can accommodate a maximum of 8 persons in 4 bedrooms. In addition, up to 2 single rollaway beds can be provided in each villa  at an additional charge. The total maximum number in each villas is 10 persons.The total maximum capacity for both villas is 20 persons. The villas feature the rich cultural heritage of Malacca as seen in the traditional raised wooden houses, the curved staircases decorated with colourful tiles, wooden carved banisters at the windows, doors and windows with colourful stained glass and the use of ‘Peranakan’ inspired tiles in the villa staircases and kitchen and outdoor tables at the barbeque area. Both villas are wheelchair friendly.
