MELAKA
JASIN
The early history of the opening of Jasin began in 1918 in the Kesang Pajak area, along the river. However, the fire tragedy has changed its position as a small town. A Bugis immigrant, Mat Yasin, redeveloped the area in 1928. His efforts got the cooperation of the British and the area was called Jasin (according to the British pronunciation) in conjunction with the name Yasin. Since then the city of Jasin began to grow.
